JIM LAKE has been in ministry for more than thirty years, serving in youth, college, and pastoral capacities, as well as establishing and directing a compassionate counseling practice. Jim and his wife, Edna, have shown others what it means to allow God to express the Gospel message through their lives in sensitive and practical ways. They have consistently opened their home and their lives (and their refrigerator) to adults and high school and college students to meet for fellowship, friendship, and Bible study. Over the past eight years, God has regularly given Jim poems that have been used to encourage and challenge their readers, a portion of which are found in this book.

Jim is a graduate of Briercrest Family of Schools, William Tyndale College, and Wayne State University. He holds a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling. Jim, Edna, and their son, Andrew, live in Phoenix, Arizona.
